The study analyzes 1,700 verbal associations collected from 17 inmates in a French penal institution. The results are then compared using statistical techniques with those obtained in the research of Guibert and Martin-Tur (2018) and Jung and Riklin (1904). This comparison aims to assess the sensitivity of the test in significantly different life contexts. The findings of this research highlight the potential role of psychoaffective complexes in the psychological monitoring of inmates, acting both as indicators and as structuring elements of the associative process. Moreover, the verbal association test, due to its playful nature, also seems to facilitate and enhance the engagement of inmates with the psychologist.

The aim of our article is to take stock of the various issues raised by the scientific literature, the media, and political decision-makers on these topics, and then to propose clinical guidelines for supporting practices involving digital technology. We propose a clinical reading of digital devices based on the Lacanian division of human reality into the imaginary, symbolic, and real registers, and then review the links between psychoanalytic models and the theme of the screen to propose a nomenclature that differentiates mirror, screen, window, and tableau.

Pelladeau (Elise).— Psychothérapie d’un patient pédophile. Based on the case of a patient being treated in a prison care unit, we will present the difficulties and therapeutic levers in his care trajectory. The aim was to analyze the instinctual dysregulations initially described by Ciavaldini in clinical work with perpetrators of sexual violence, and to analyze their specific features in the light of the transferential movements at work in the care of a patient who has committed pedophilic acts. This article illustrates the way in which the crushing of generations associated with a particularly traumatic entry into sexuality seems to have initiated a libidinal fixation on a partial, specular sexuality, covering up major narcissistic flaws, still maintained at the time of our meetings by a massive family denial.

Public health recommendations and several studies suggest that this risk can be reduced, or even eliminated, by better preoperative assessment of patients. Based on a multidisciplinary questioning approach and our clinical experience in the field, we show that postoperative decompensation in bariatric surgery stems from the asymmetry between public health, medical decision-making, and individual psychic suffering. We deduce that preoperative assessment aimed at risk neutralization is not possible. Instead, we recommend that prevention be based more on the postoperative period, and in particular on the establishment of a transferential bond.
